Join us for Art Committee Conversations with resident Al Levin at 3:30 pm in the Large Meeting Room on Georgia O’Keeffe. Georgia O’Keeffe has been heralded as the Mother of American Modernism, but she has defied simple labels and her work constantly evolved over her long career. From conventional figurative painting she moved on to experiment with abstraction, inspired by the natural world as well as manmade structures. Her independent spirit characterized both her personal life and her artistic life. This presentation is the first of two presentations which will explore her artistic journey and provide the opportunity to discuss several of her works in depth.
