The Brookhaven Lecture Committee invites you to hear Robert Stavins on What Can an Economist Possibly Have to Say About Climate Change? at 7:30 pm in the Performance Hall. Stavins will argue that environmental problems have fundamentally economic causes, as well as economic consequences. Hence, an economic perspective can be very helpful for the design of effective solutions. Next, he will examine some specific policy approaches – both domestically in the United States and other countries, and internationally in regard to multinational cooperation. This will include some focus on recent political and policy developments in the USA.
