February 15, 2023 @ 7:30 pm

The Brookhaven Lecture Committee invites you to hear Professor Sangeeta Bhatia on How a hometown girl became an inventor, serial entrepreneur, and women’s rights advocate at 7:30 pm in the Performance Hall and streaming. In the 1970s, my family moved to Lexington, MA. As the daughter of Indian immigrants, I was encouraged to pursue engineering, medicine, entrepreneurship, and classical dance. In this talk, I will share my journey from Lexington High School to the halls of MIT where my research leverages tiny engineering tools (nanotechnology) to create medical inventions to diagnose and treat disease better than we can today.
