Join us for a concert by Eleuthera Trio at 7:30 pm in the Performance Hall and Streaming. The concert is titled “The ‘B’ees Knees: The Folksy Romanticism of Babajanian, Bruch & Brahms”. The title is a play on words – the expression “the bee’s knees” combined with a variant of what is traditionally known as “the three B’s” (that’s, composers Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms). But here, we’ve changed that triumvirate of composers now to include Babajanian and Bruch! Our “three B’s” are all Romantic composers who combined their musical language with folk music, traditional music of their homelands. The result is a direct and dramatic idiom that speaks directly to the heart of the listener. It is a joy to share this program with you – it truly is “the bee’s knees!”
