Insight Meditation Drop-in Practice Group

Insight Meditation: an eight-week practice group on Thursdays starting October 6 -December 1 at 3:00 pm in the Large Meeting Room. Please sign up at the Front Desk for the first session; from then on, it’s a drop-in group. With the practice of insight meditation, we bring mindful attention to all aspects of our experience — the breath, mind and body as well as the activities of daily life. This path of meditation deepens our capacity for awareness, bringing clarity, kindness, and compassion toward ourselves and others. Resident Olivia Ames Hoblitzelle is a writer and dharma teacher whose work is inspired by almost five decades of practice in psychology, Buddhist practice (Insight Meditation and Tibetan), and the wisdom traditions. Her most recent book is Aging with Wisdom: Reflections, Stories & Teachings.
