The Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) is an independent accrediting body of health and human services. Brookhaven earned the seal of accreditation from CARF International in 1997 and successfully maintains CARF standards and its commitment to excellence and continuous quality improvement today.
Brookhaven is a longstanding member of LeadingAge Massachusetts and its national affiliate, LeadingAge. LeadingAge Massachusetts is a statewide organization representing the full continuum of mission-driven, not-for-profit providers of health care, housing, and services for older persons in Massachusetts. Members of LeadingAge Massachusetts provide housing and services to more than 25,000 older persons in the Commonwealth each year. Members are leaders in policy, advocacy and best practices that support and empower people to live fully as they age.
Brookhaven enjoys a close affiliation with Tufts University Osher LifeLong Learning Institute as an Osher LLI satellite campus.
Brookhaven’s Medical Director Cherie Noe, M.D., MPH, is board-certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine. Dr. Noe is currently at Mount Auburn Hospital where she is the Assistant Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program, Director of the Geriatric Housecalls Program at Mount Auburn Hospital, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Noe also holds the title of Certified Medical Director in Long Term Care.
