Program will be presented by Concord naturalist Peter Alden. He and Brookhaven’s Dr E. O. Wilson ran the world’s first serious Bioblitzes at Walden Pond in 1998, 2009 and 2019 with 3,600 plus species certified by 100’s of invited specialists in fungi, lichens, plants, insects, spiders, fish, herps, birds and mammals. Peter has led over 300 bird and nature tours, safaris and cruises to over 100 countries since the 1960’s. He has also authored 16 books such as the Audubon Field Guide to New England and his most recent “A Year of Birds” on Thoreau’s local observations with 150 color plates.
