Harris on A Unique, Circuitous path, Reducing Death and Destruction After Total Hip Surgery at 10:30 am in the Performance Hall and streaming. Total Hip Replacement (THR) is a wonderful operation for nearly all patients. Little known now are the two major disadvantages existing at its introduction: death from pulmonary emboli and severe bone destruction because of the THR. This talk speaks to the failures and successes of the science of attacking these two issues.
