Join us in the Large Meeting Room from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm for an Informal Lecture on Brahms with Ann Scott. In a very informal session, in preparation for the BFM Concert on September 8, she will briefly describe the structure of sonata form (with a handout), then discuss what makes the first and fourth movements so packed with a parade of beautiful musical ideas, yet so motivically coherent (also with handouts). She will begin by playing each movement in its entirety.
