The Brookhaven Friends of Music presents the Boston Baroque X-tet at 7:30 pm in the Performance Hall and streaming. Drawing membership from Boston Baroque’s world-renowned orchestra roster, the X-tet is the organization’s first-ever period string chamber ensemble. The program includes a short piece by Vicente Lusitano (1520–1561); Haydn’s String Quartet No. 4 in Bb Major, Op. 33; and Mendelssohn’s String Quintet No. 2 in Bb Major, Op. 87. Performers will be Christina Day Martinson and Jesse Irons, violin, Sarah Darling and Jason Fisher, viola, and Matt Zucker, cello.
