The Brookhaven Friends of Music presents the outstanding woodwind quintet Vento Chiaro, with an afternoon of Dances and Evocations. Feel the pulse of South America in Frank Morelli’s arrangement of “Three Brazillian Choros,” enjoy some Texas inspired “Two Stepping,” by young, Boston-based composer Mason Bynes, and grab your dancing shoes for Gina Gillie’s “Tango.” Feel the sun rise in Adrien Barthe’s dawn-inspired “Aubade,” and take a walk through the famous Washington D.C. healing park of peace in Alyssa Morris’s “Dumbarton Oaks.” They will close out the program with three movements evocative of landscapes in the American west in Eric Ewazen’s “Roaring Fork Quintet.” Join us at 3:00 pm in the Performance Hall and Streaming.
