Book Club

The Book Club will meet at 4:00 pm in the Club Room to discuss North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell.  Published in 1854 the book is a social novel set in an industrial city and describes the harsh lives of the mill workers in the North of England.  A complex story with several themes the novel also delves into the developing relationship between a former minister’s daughter (from the South of England) and the unpolished mill owner of the North. All residents are welcome to come to the meeting.
