Join us at 7:30 pm in the Performance Hall and streaming for Gifts We Can Barely Carry: JFK in Ireland with Kevin Farley; a “concert documentary” about the role music and song played in JFK’s four-day visit in 1963, and his use of Irish songs and poetry to amplify his message. From songs about the 1798 Rebellion sung by student choruses to fun songs sung by the Bunratty Castle singers to jigs danced by step dancers, Kevin combines his musical talents with film clips of JFK quoting Irish song lyrics in speeches throughout his trip.
