GE was an American business giant, the last company in the DJ Average. Its business spanned the entire American economy – refrigerators, CT scanners, satellites, jet engines, NBC to credit cards. This talk will cover the technical and business innovations basis for GE’s success. And why GE declined. Art Chen retired as a senior executive from GE Research. This talk will be his perspective derived from his observation of the inner workings of GE.
