The bus departs at 10:00 am for a trip to the Cape Ann Museum to see the exhibit: Above the Fold: The Photographers of the “Gloucester Daily Times” 1973-2005. The residents of Cape Ann have looked to The Gloucester Daily Times, founded in 1888, for over 135 years to get their news. This award-winning periodical stands apart for its hyper-local focus on the people who live, work, and play on Cape Ann. Above the Fold: The Photographers of the “Gloucester Daily Times,” 1973-2005, featuring a selection of works by photographers shooting for the Times for over three decades. The captivating photographs in this exhibition draw on an important archive of an estimated one million photographs which is a recent acquisition donated to CAM by the North of Boston Media Group.
