The bus departs at 1:30 pm for a trip to the Reagle Music Theater to see Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific. In an island paradise during the Second World War, two Americans – a wide-eyed nurse and a promising young lieutenant – discover love and what it means to confront their own prejudices. Audiences of all ages will connect to one of the many characters in this classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. The score consists of some of their most gorgeous music (“Some Enchanted Evening,” “Bali Ha’i,” and “Younger Than Springtime“) and some of their most hummable tunes (“There is Nothin’ Like a Dame,” “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair,” and “Wonderful Guy“).
